Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for high school seniors who live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a 3.0 GPA, have taken the SAT, have filed the FAFSA, and intend to obtain a bachelor's degree as full-time students. They must also plan to attend an accredited four-year college in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, or Montgomery County, Pennsylvania (see application for a list of eligible schools). Applicants and their parent/legal guardian must live in Philadelphia. Selection will be based on high school grades, extracurricular activities, leadership potential, writing ability, SAT scores, and financial need. Students who receive the Mayor's Scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania are not eligible for this scholarship.
