Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for entering or returning undergraduate students enrolled full-time (at least 12 hours) at an accredited undergraduate US institution. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be permanent residents of a New England state: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont. Applicants must be studying for an undergraduate degree for the first time, be US citizens or resident aliens, and demonstrate financial need. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence with a 3.0 GPA, be enrolled in a demanding course of study, and demonstrate skilled writing ability. Applicants must also demonstrate citizenship, character, and serious-mindedness; demonstrate a desire to make a meaningful contribution to society both present and future; be involved in a balance of community, school, and work activities; pursue goals and aspirations with integrity, resolution, self-discipline, and judgment; and earn money for college expenses through part-time work.
