Pittsburgh Promise Scholarship

Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for graduating seniors and graduates of Pittsburgh Public Schools and its charter high schools in Pennsylvania. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have been students in the district and Pittsburgh residents continuously since 9th grade. Applicants must also have a minimum 2.5 GPA, have a minimum attendance record of 90%, and plan to enroll full-time at a public or private post-secondary school in Pennsylvania (online schools are not eligible). Financial need and family income are not factors in awarding this scholarship. This scholarship is not competitive; all eligible students who apply will receive the scholarship. Scholarship recipients can renew the award for up to four years of undergraduate study, assuming they maintain a GPA of 2.0 and a full-time class load. The amount of this scholarship depends on how many years the applicant has lived in Pittsburgh and attended Pittsburgh Public Schools.
