This scholarship is for high school seniors who live in Arkansas. Applicants can be from public, private, or home schools or be GED students. To compete for this scholarship, applicants must memorize three different, original poems and recite them at a poetry slam. Applicants also should be prepared to recite a haiku as a tiebreaker. Foul language, vulgarity, slander, props, music, or costumes are not allowed. The poetry slam will take place on March 22, 2014. See website for details.
