Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for graduating seniors and adults from the Battle Creek, Michigan, area. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be associated with organized labor. Strong emphasis will be placed on merit, need, above-average grades, community involvement, and modest income level. Work or school attendance, responsibility, communication skills and abilities, cooperation, service to the community, utilizing a balance, and extracurricular activity will be considered. Priority will be given to candidates who have an interest or need for technical- or trade-related training, upgrading of skills, or re-training for individuals who are associated with organized labor and may be unemployed, under-employed, and/or dislocated workers.
