Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for members in good standing of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority in the Great Lakes Region (Ohio, West Virginia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New York). To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be undergraduate sophomores or juniors and have a current 3.0 GPA or above and the same the semester prior to application. Applicants must compete and win an oratorical contest (logistics of which will be handled by the Great Lakes Scholarship Committee). Applicants also must be available to attend the upcoming Boule or Leadership Seminar in its entirety. Scholarship applications are accepted throughout the year, and applicants may apply for more than one fund offered by the AKA-EAF.
