This scholarship is for high school seniors scheduled to graduate in June or high school graduates currently enrolled in or formally accepted to a trade school, junior college, college, or university. To qualify for this scholarship applications must be residents of San Diego County, California; and have a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5 or have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for college courses; and demonstrate financial need. Members of the Border Patrol Explorer Program, and relatives of CBP or USBP employees are eligible, regardless of residence. Participation in community events/programs will be strongly considered. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must include a one-page essay outlining financial need, community involvement, school involvement, and career goals. Applicants must be US citizens or lawfully permanent residents. The award ceremony will be held at the Imperial Beach Border Patrol station in Imperial Beach, California.
