Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for California students who intend to pursue a career with a focus on rangeland management, with an emphasis towards cattle and sheep ranching in conjunction with good rangeland practices. Ideal candidates are those who will take over the family ranch and work to improve rangeland conditions as a natural resource. Scholarships are also given to those who are studying for a career that benefits the beef cattle or sheep industry or rangeland management by working directly with landowners to enhance rangeland resources. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be attending or entering a two- or four-year college or university in California. A GPA above "C" is required, but grades are not a primary award criteria.
