This scholarship is for residents of the SPE Balcones Section 21 area in Texas, which includes the following counties: Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Dimmitt, Edwards, Frio, Gonzales Guadalupe, Kendall, Kerr, Kinney, La Salle, Medina, Maverick, McMullen, Real, Uvalde, Val Verde, Wilson, and Zavala. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be high school graduates or college undergraduates who intend to work in the petroleum industry. Applicants must be enrolled or intend to enroll in an accredited engineering college and have a 2.5 GPA.
