Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for US citizens who are permanent residents of South Texas, which includes the counties of Cameron, Willacy, Hidalgo, Starr, Kenedy, Brooks, Kleberg, Jim Wells, Duval, Zapata, Jim Hogg, Webb, La Salle, McMullen, Live Oak, Bee, Karnes, Goliad, Refugio, Arkansas, San Patricio, and Nueces. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum college cumulative GPA of 2.7; have completed a high school diploma or its equivalent on or before June 31, 2012; and have earned/completed at least 12 undergraduate credit hours at a US-accredited college or university. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a US-accredited two-year community college (enrolled part- or full-time) in a degree-seeking program, a four-year university undergraduate program (enrolled full-time) seeking a bachelor's degree, or a university graduate program (enrolled full-time) seeking a master's, law, or doctorate degree.
