This scholarship is for high school seniors who are enrolled in a Miami-Dade or Broward County public or private high school. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and graduate in 2014. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents with a US-issued social security number. Applicants must apply under one of the following categories: athletics, arts (foreign language, language arts, performing arts, or visual arts), leadership/service, or sciences (math, computer science, or natural science); see website for eligibility requirements for each category. Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, community involvement, academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, quality of character, life goals and interests, obstacles overcome, and meaningful objectives achieved.
