This scholarship is for high school seniors in Maine, who demonstrate involvement and leadership in promoting equality for LGBT people in their schools and communities. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be accepted to an institution of higher learning. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must include a personal essay (up to three pages double-spaced) addressing the following questions: "What have you done to promote equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in your school and community?" and "What is your vision for full equality in Maine, and how, specifically do you plan to help achieve that vision?"
