Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for residents of Ventura County, California. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be firefighters, children of firefighters, or students aspiring to become firefighters. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors or high school graduates. Applicants may attend any two- or four-year accredited college or university, vocational school, or accredited fire academy in the United States and may select any course of study. It is suggested that the applicant have a 3.0 GPA, but it is not absolutely necessary. One scholarship will be awarded to a prospective firefighter and one scholarship will be awarded to the candidate demonstrating overall academic excellence.
