Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for young songwriters who live in one of the following counties in Indiana: Benton, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, Jasper, Montgomery, Newton, Pulaski, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Warren, or White. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be between ages 14 and 19 and must be permanent residents of the state of Indiana. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit an audio recording of one original song. Applicants will be judged on songwriting abilities, not performance capabilities. Judging will focus on song components including melody, chord structure, rhythm and lyrics. It is acceptable for the applicant to have someone else perform his/her song on the demo recording.
