This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who reside in the Meyers election district in Carroll County, Maryland. Residents of Meyers election district vote at Charles Carroll Elementary School. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be pursuing higher education at an accredited institution, which may include a trade or technical school, a two-year program leading to an associate's degree, or a four-year college or university leading to a bachelor's degree. Successful applicants will demonstrate financial need (50% of score), be involved in community activities with an emphasis on community service (35% of score), and show scholastic ability (15% of score).
