Scholarship Overview
This is scholarship for students enrolling or who are currently enrolled in a trade school (online course okay) that leads to certification (i.e., massage therapy, dental assistant), in order to learn a marketable skill that will lead to economic self-sufficiency. The scholarship is intended to ease the burden of the applicant starting or continuing their education, and is not limited to a particular field of study. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be residents of or attending school in the Greater Los Angeles area in California, including portions of Ventura and Orange counties. Scholarships are awarded based on the ability to articulate a clear statement of goals, the likelihood of goal attainment, personal courage and personal commitment, and financial need. Applicants may apply for only two scholarships per cycle.
