This scholarship is for residents of Northeast Dutchess county (Amenia, Clinton Corners, Dover Plains, Millbrook, Millerton, North East, Pine Plains, Stanford, Washington, Wassaic and Wingdale), and Northwest Litchfield (Canaan, Cornwall, Falls Village, Kent, Sharon, Salisbury) County in Connecticut. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must plan to undertake training in a field of healthcare and seek employment in Northeast Dutchess County, New York, or Northwest Connecticut. Preference is given to students who are attending schools in Northwest Connecticut or Dutchess County; and also to those who are going to school while taking care of dependent family members. This scholarship is awarded based on applicants' ability to attain a healthcare qualification, ability to move forward in career through attainment of a healthcare qualification, and commitment of the applicant to a healthcare career in the communities of northwest Connecticut or northeast Dutchess County. Preference will be given to applicants who are going to school in northwest Connecticut or Dutchess County and will be taking care of dependent family members.
