Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for residents of Texas who are children or grandchildren of a veteran who served in the Armed Forces during the eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion. To apply from for this scholarship, applicants must submit three letters of recommendation: one from a school principal or counselor, one from a member of the clergy, and one from someone who can attest to the applicant's character, Americanism, and scholarship. Selection will be based on goal, character, citizenship, need, objective, and war service of father, mother, grandfather or grandmother.
