This scholarship is for graduating high school seniors from public high schools within Fort Bend County, Texas. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must reside in Fort Bend County, have a 2.5 GPA or higher, and be US citizens or permanent residents. Applicants must plan to enroll for the first time in full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester) undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year public college or university in Texas for the entire upcoming academic year. The adjusted gross income of the applicants' parents may not exceed $50,000. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, an outside appraisal, and academic record.
