Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for members of the Toledo Rowing Club in Ohio. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be planning to enroll or be enrolled full- or part-time at an accredited two- or four-year post-secondary institution, including colleges, universities, technical colleges, or trade schools. Applicants must be active rowing participants (rower or coxswain) for at least two rowing seasons, achieved distinction in competitive rowing on the league or regional level or above. Applicants must also have demonstrated a commitment of volunteer time (not less than 40 hours during high school rowing career) of the Toledo Rowing Club’s programs which encourage and promote rowing to Toledo area youth, women, adults, and/or other “non-traditional” rowers. Applicants must have a 3.5 GPA from the first semester of ninth grade through and including the last semester of twelfth grade and achieved a minimum single test composite on the SAT of 1120 (reading and math combined score, or 1700 three-score equivalent) or ACT of 24. Applicants also must be US citizens.
