Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for Chicago Public Schools (CPS) high school seniors. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and be accepted to an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must write an essay (minimum of 500 words, typed, double-spaced, Times New Roman font) on a given topic. Applicants must also include a copy of a letter of acceptance from a college or university (or college application confirmation letter); one letter of recommendation; CPS high school transcript; ACT or SAT scores; and a Student Aid Report (SAR). Applicants may obtain a copy of the SAR when they complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The scholarship deadline is March 1 or until the first 350 applications are received.
