Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for qualified employees of the former Carolina Coca-Cola Bottling Company, and for legal dependents of qualified employees. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA during their junior and senior years of high school, demonstrate a high level of school and community involvement as shown by participation in extracurricular activities, and attend an institution of higher learning that is an eleemosynary junior or senior college that is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools or a comparable regional accrediting organization. Applicants must complete a FAFSA. If no applicants meet the above criteria, the Scholarship Selection Committee may award a scholarship to one or more outstanding senior(s) from the following high schools: Sumter High School, Crestwood High School, Lakewood High School, Thomas Sumter Academy, Wilson Hall School, Sumter Catholic High School, or any other such high school serving students in Sumter County.
