This program is for undergraduate rising juniors and seniors in Mississippi who are pursuing a career as public school teachers. To qualify, applicants must have a 2.5 GPA on all college coursework previously taken, be legal residents of Mississippi, be enrolled in a course of study leading to a Class "A" teacher license, and have passed the Praxis 1 or provide proof that they are exempt. Scholarship recipients must agree to teach full-time in a Mississippi public school for one year per year of scholarship support received. This scholarship is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to renewal applicants. The online application is available from January 1st through March 31st.
