WITHIN MY FIRST SEMESTER HERE AT THE ALABAMA STATE UNIVERSITY, I HAVE OBTAIN MANY NEW THINGS AND EXPERIENCED MANY WAYS OF LEARNING BECAUSE OF THE DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS I HAVE ENDURED HERE AT THIS INSTITUTION!

    As a black student, this college is indeed perfect! Of course it has my major, and the vibe is beautiful and welcoming. I recommend that all African Americans should go to this school!

    Alabama State University is, in my opinion, probably a 6 out of 10. Of course with it being an HBCU there is not a lot of diversity at all. However i feel that the professors that are passionate and proud to be teaching the students.

    Alabama State University is overall a very good university. Its not that big so all the dorms on campus are fairly close to all your classes. Also your classes are not large at all and usually you have teachers that will know your name by your face.

    This is a historically black institution. There is a lot of crisis going on in the administration level that is currently affecting students. The education is sub-par.

    On a scale from one to ten I would give Alabama State a seven. Some parts of the school seem to be run down and there is a shortage of working computers and printers. The construction of the school may be worn but the instructors seem genuine.
