It is a diverse school where many different personalities blend together to form a large body of students whom accept one another. Due to its semi-small perimeter, a wider opportunity is open for students to know one another as they see each other walk by. Even though it is a local community college, it does not mean the professors are simple; there are several professors and counselors whom truly care about each student that is willing to put in the time and effort to their studies.

Allan Hancock College is a great gateway into the college realm, especially for the high school graduate, busy parent, and or working full time. The classes are generally small so there is more personal connection from teacher to student which makes it great if you need help. There is also the College Now! program which allows high school juniors and seniors take up to 6 credits per semester, and its great for getting ahead.

AHC is a great community college to start out at, or earn a degree at. The atmosphere of the campus is really close-knit compared to the booming size of big universities. Even though it's a community college, AHC really offers a lot of services for its students.

Allan Hancock exhibits the epitome of what a cheap, however effect college can be. I am very content with the experiences I have had thus far, and I am more or less happy with the staff as well. Community college exists as a great starting off point for any prospective students.
