Tip #1. Be prepared to be tested beyond the typical A-U grading scale. The curriculum is based on abilities not letter grading. Tip #2. Get your priorities in order prior to starting. What'Â?s important to you, money or education? Will a potential job interfere with you education? Are you willing to reduce hours at work to focus more time on school? Tip #3. Be ok with working with others! Group work is a thingÂ? at Alverno, anticipate at least one group based project per class. Tip #4. Know your financial need! You may fall short for with government provided aid, so have a backup plan such as scholarships, savings or family help. Having a balance will prevent you from registering for the following semester, extending graduation date.
