Chartered in 1887 by the School Sisters of St. Francis, Alverno College is a Catholic women’s college in Milwaukee. Alverno confers bachelor’s degrees in 35 academic majors and 27 minors. In addition, Alverno eliminates letter grades and provides feedback in the form of a narrative evaluation. Throughout the school year, Alverno’s campus ministry schedules a number of weekly events such as Midweek Meditation as well as the monthly St. Ben’s Meal Program.

this is a great school for students who can adapt to an all women school. they are excellent for nursing majors. they do offer spacious and convenient dorms for those who want to stay on campus.
