A small liberal arts university in the heart of the balkans, situated in a student city. Student life, clubs and activities are a major part in the day to day life. Most importantly, the campus of full of event, love and smiles (a bit too much i might say).
Tips for prospective students
Don't doubt your decision, AUBG is always the option on top, a great investment into your future, and waaay cheaper than US universities.
Travel! Europe is all around you, use your time wisely.
KEEP AN OPEN MIND. AUBG takes pride in its diverse society and will not accept racist and/or sexist act.
Academic Rigor
14-1 students to professors ratio, alot of one on one time with professors if requested, there are always tutors and professors and friends willing to assist.
International faculty of over achievers. best faculty i have came across.
Also, professors pay higher attention to students in classes because a class room on average around 24
Dorm Life
Campus-based university, everything is available on the campus. three dormitories, fully equipped with everything a student might need, from basic parking spots, to computer labs, science labs, dance rooms, boxing rooms, even a party room.
Food and Dining
Food and beverages are available in campus coffee shops (3 of them!). also, the campus canteen offer daily cooked meals by very friendly local ladies
What to do for fun
Anything! Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, (Where AUBG is based) is a student city, 1 out of 5 people in the city is a student. so you can think of how the city would be like. you can take part in political protests, sip on frappés in coffee shops, grab a drink at a bar, or go dance at the many clubs in the city.
Best hiking spots in Bulgaria, two hours from the Greek beach, two hours from the capital. There is always event happening on campus, mostly organized by students' clubs
Bang for the buck
Price to quality of education is nothing. Paying AUBG fees in the US would barely allow me to afford community college. For that price, and waaaay less pocket money, I was able to get the best education, for a price that would not let me go to a community college.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
GIFT OF 2018
Clubs and Activities
A small campus of less than 1000 students coming together to form more than 30 students' clubs. from a gaming club, to a golf club, tedx, club turned NGO (THE HUB), their own radio, sports, and many many other. There is always something amazing being organized by the clubs
Campus Safety
Campus is really safe, AUBG hires its own security guards, and extra security companies. CCTV cameras are always on and recording. Fire alarm checks are done on a monthly basis.

A liberal arts college with a state-of-the-art campus and great students in it. Warm-hearted people are welcoming you from the first day of orientation week. It is a place where you can really enjoy being.
What to do for fun
There are many parks in the city; also because of the wide variety of clubs that are in the university, there are many worthy events to visit.
Clubs and Activities
As part of the Business club, I can say that the activities that we have are very interesting and are quite fun. You mainly connect with new people and socialize all the time.
