Very impacted but great for local community. Eccentric professors keep things interesting. Should consider another college if you are looking to graduate on time.

AVC is good for what is it, a junior college. The counselors, library staff, and a good part of the teachers are friendly and helpful. The campus is clean and there is well kept! Just ignore the people that aren't really there for school.

AVC is good for what it is a community college classes are cheap, amenites are whatever, and importantly the education is good. Most of my professors at AVC have been nothing short of passionate and thats what you need when looking into a school. The professors are helpful and intelligent.

We have a Heart and Hands Pantry which is made and ran by student and is for students to get food through out the day. Also, every Monday there is a pop up store on either the Lancaster or Palmdale campus that gives students business attire from prices as low as 10cent to 5 dollars, whole outfits. The school calls this, Dress For Success .

My experience at AVC has not been so good. Why do they have a welfare office on campus? Why is financial aid not released until semester is almost over? This school just seems ghetto and all about $$$. Some professors act like racist robots. Some of the counselors seems to have never taken psychology classes or maybe they failed and don't know how to talk to people.

Antelope Valley College is really on top of things. They don't play games, either . The only thing I would say , is that you will have to be checking your school e-mail constantly to make sure that you aren't dropped from any classes; other than that the school is great .

Considering it is in the desert, I would say it has done a pretty good job of becoming more modern and advanced. All in all its an okay school.

I am a current student at Antelope Valley College and so far I love it! The instructors are very nice and look like they enjoy teaching which makes for a great learning environment. The campus is not that large nor is it the most beautiful looking campus but it looks better than the average community college I would say.

I feel that the culture here at AVC is its biggest deterrent. There are many great professors that are passionate of what they teach. Counselors aren't that great and classes get filled quick!
