Most of the professors and TAs that I had at ASU were very knowledgeable in their field and also held terminal degrees in their fields. Like all colleges, most of the class times were strictly lecture based but many professors gave examples to describe what they were lecturing on and it allowed the student to really apply the knowledge to an everyday applicable field. The campus is small, so if you have a bad schedule with back to back classes, you can make it to them on time. There isn't a dull learning experience because the teachers do their job and make the experience interesting. The people are generally friendly.

Augusta State University is a smaller state university that offers diverse degree programs. The teacher/student ratio is low, allowing more time for the student to interact with the teacher. This university offers much in extracurriculars whether it be from student led organizations to greek life.

Transition from Augusta State to Georgia Regents University has been handled haphazardly and the stress its caused shows in the faculties performance and demeanor. School should focus on expanding and combining its two campuses and providing on-campus housing for students as well as integrating with the local community. Students should have more of a say in what they want and don't want on campus, decisions are being made without students input or consent.

ASU has a beautiful, historic campus. There are a lot of clubs, frats, sororities, and other organizations to get involved in while you are getting your degree. The professors are very down to earth and they want to see you succeed.

Augusta State University (ASU) is a high spirited and academically challenging school. There are always many activities going through out the week, so students will rarely find that they have nothing to do. The professors at ASU are always available for their students, each professor provides office hours for students to meet with them and also their email address.
