I have been learning a lot in my speech class, because I haven't had a speech class since the 8th grade. My teacher, Michelle Syltie, is fun and helpful in everything. However, my government class with Charles Miles is more of a repeat of all of my AP high school history classes than anything else.

ACC has a very open, relaxed, and accepting atmosphere, with lots of diversity among the students. Class quality varies, but they're generally good, and they're cheap. It can be a bit disorganized.

The classes are pretty easy. So far, my teachers have been great and make the classes enjoyable. Only thing is the admissions and advisors are difficult to get ahold of and lack communication at times.

I really like Austin Community College. They offer all kinds of help for students in any situation, very accommodating. The staff is nice and respectful, but also very warm.

Great school for students transferinf to a 4 year university. It is cheap and it is fairly easy to get a decent GPA if you want to transfer to a competitive university like the UT.

Austin Community College is an awesome place to start your college career, to get your Associates or to return to your college education after a long absence. The work isn't overwhelmingly difficult (normally), but it stretches and prepares you enough for study at a four-year university. The professors and staff are great!

Overall, Austin Community College has been a fantastic choice for myself and many other people in the Austin area. Due to the many campus locations and professors, one can always find courses that fit conveniently with one's life and schedule. Regarding the northern-area campuses specifically, where I have taken classes, the faculty and staff have been extremely kind, professional yet caring, and truly want the best for the students.

The worst school I've ever had to deal with. They Lost various paperwork for admissions and would tell me oh you need this too, weeks after speaking to them. The professors are lazy especially with distance learning.

If you're indecisive about choosing a major as a freshman, you can opt to take the Transitioning to College course. Carpooling or taking the bus has proved useful when classes are at different locations around town. Utilize the website: ratemyprofessor, before you register for classes so you know what kind of professor you want your money's worth.

Austin Community College is a good college to attend. There are some teachers who are very good at teaching but there are others who have no idea how to teach. Overall it is a good place to attend.
