Additional Costs
Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. In this case the # of students with no corresponding dollar amount will be excluded from the denominator.

What Students Are Saying

Baker is one the cheapest schools in West Michigan and you really get a lot for such a low price.
Melisanda from Zeeland, MI
Baker is also a school that will support those who are not able to afford to go to school. They help you through financial aid as well as offer grants for some students who can not pay for school. You must keep up with your classes and have a c average in order to keep these benefits. It's not a cheap school to attend with 210 dollars per semester hour; that is one hundred dollars more then University of Florida; but you do get what you pay for. Bake is a non-for profit organization, paying all the in house bills on its own.
Norman from MUSKEGON, MI
i believe it is well worth your money to a great education at baker college.
Jenny from Muskegon, MI
My classes are quite expensive being lab classes. However, it's much cheaper than another school somewhere else. Regular classes not geared towards Culinary or Baking are much cheaper, however. And, I definitely learn everything I need to know at a reasonable price.
Samantha from Muskegon, MI
At Baker, you get the college experience without having to worry about drowning in debt after college. It is a fun place to be with teachers that really care about you. Being a private college, you really get to focus on YOUR career and there are always people to help guide you along the way.
