The town of Berea and Middleburg Heights provide a Regal Cinema, restaurants, shopping, nature trails. The Higgins Center is the athletic center and has something for everyone, including an indoor track and swimming pool. There is also a work-out area with weights and treadmills to stay healthy.

I enjoyed all the events that I was able to participate in through joining a sorority. The Greek groups always support each other at their philanthopy events that raise money for good causes and community service projects. Every week there's a big Mid-Night Madness event held by the school for all students, giving everyone a fun and safe alternative to going out to parties. There are a lot of student organizations to join and just hanging out in the Union is fun because you always see so many familiar faces :)

The gym is good and there is sand volleyball and different other games. There are a lot of fun activities as long as you know the right person.

Just get involved! Join a club, a sport, greek life, or just go to one of the many events. Reaching out makes the campus so much more fun and you get to meet a lot of people. There are also two malls not too far away that are large so grab a friend and car and venture out. There is a lot to discover in the area if nothing is going on on campus.

Walk around down-town Berea, which is beautiful in the summer. Wallace lake is nice, but Coe lake is the best place to spend a sunny day studying or just hanging out on the docks with friends. There are usually activities going on at the union and there are always clubs and meetings to go to on campus. Churches around campus have free dinners for students every Sunday. There is a Chipotle, Panera, Jimmy Johns, Zoup, and Penn Station about a mile or two down Bagley Rd. as well as the local hang-out restaurant/bar called Maya (order the nachos, the cheese sauce is unreal). Greek life consumes about 1/3 of the student population, so they always have activities going on.

Downtown Berea has many shops that are within walking distance of campus. There are restaurants, unique stores, and fast food that will often accept the Jacket Express card as a form of paymentin lieu of a cash payment. That is in addition to the hundreds of campus games, activities, cafes, and events. Zombies versus humans, Midnight Madness, Harry Potter Club, CAB $2 all you can eat pizza on Thursday are just to name a few things on campus.
