Barnard College

New York, NY, USA
3.74 Average Rating

Barnard College is one of the oldest women’s colleges in the world and was created in response to the fact that Columbia University only admitted men. The school is located across the street from Columbia U in NYC and still maintains a relationship with the university, the Juilliard School, and The Jewish Theological Seminary, though Barnard remains a separate entity. Forbes ranks Barnard College #25 in Liberal Arts Universities and U.S. News & World Report rates their admissions program as “most selective.” Barnard is a member of the Seven Sisters and admits only women.

What Students Are Saying

3.74 Average Rating
I am absolutely in love with Barnard. Barnard offers the best of both worlds, operating as a small liberal arts women's college yet offering students all of the resources available at the Ivy League Columbia University.

Barnard is an amazing school. The faculty is supportive and enthusiastic, always willing to help. The students are bright, amazing, young women and the community there is truly wonderful.
