Everything is cheaper because it's a small town. Movies are $4 at the Bowling Green movie theatre, there's always free food and events on campus, students get into sporting events for free, etc. Being a college town, there's also a plethora of families ready to open their homes to college kids, so if you choose to be 'adopted' so to speak through a church or other organization, you can also probably be taken in by a family that will be more than happy to share what they have with you. The southern hospitality vibe definitely stretches up here, everyone is willing to share everything they have to make college life a bit easier.

Bowling Green does have a diverse community on campus. You will get to meet people from Europe all the way to Africa and even China.

i definitely think bg is a worthy school, but it can become a little expenive for some people. i don't think its fair how if a student cannot make it home during one of the breaks that you have to pay extra to stay on campus, as if tuition wasn't enough.

i am out of state and it isn't too expensive to live on campus however the housing off campus is a lot cheaper. there are many organizations that will feed you at their meetings so go to those meetings. made a budget and stick with it, otherwise you'll end up staving.

Bowling Green State University is on the cheaper end of other colleges I considered attending. Also the school had my major, marine biology and offered me the most scholarship money. I definitely feel like I made the right choice with Bowling Green because I am getting a great education at cheaper than other schools in Ohio.
