Visit the campus, if you are able to, during the school year to get a good feel for what it will be like when you're actually going to classes. Don't stress about not having a major or minor picked out right away because Bridgewater staff can help you decide what's best for your future. Join a club or sport when school starts to meet a lot of new people quickly-it makes the adjustment ten times easier!

Attendance is key! Since, the campus is small the average class size is like a high school class and most professors base your participation grade on attendance. Also, don't come here expecting a big party scene, Bridgewater is a dry campus.

I would make sure you take a tour of the campus and meet with other students to see what they say. Also, make sure you look at all the different dorms to see which you like the most.

Don't be afraid to make new friends. Everyone here is friendly, and I mean EVERYONE. It'll be a lonely life if you don't make at least one friend. Making friends may seem hard, but trust me, it really isn't. Everyone here is so friendly that it's really difficult NOT to meet new people that you get along with. And remember, it's okay to feel nervous. Just remember, you're not alone. This is new for every other freshman and though they may not show it, everyone gets homesick their first year.
