There are food and drink carts everywhere, with healthy options, and vegetarian and vegan options. The cafeteria has local foods too.

In the main cafeteria, located in the BMU, there is good food and plenty of it. They do a new dish every week that incorporates some sort of local ingredient, which is pretty cool. Common grounds is the coffee shop right next door. It's not my favorite place, but it will do in a crunch.

There are a lot of cafes, dining areas, mini marts, and vending machines on campus. They are all clean and decent priced and there is literally one on every section of campus, so you won't go hungry in between classes.

The food here is either a hit or miss. Cereal and bagels will become your best friend. Sutter dining tries to experiment a lot and sometimes it's good, but other times you're trying to decide what looks most edible. The dining hall closes at 7 so if you have a night class I would suggest Sutter Cafe which is right next to it. But be warned that the line normally is out the door and you have to wait about 30 min. The food is better quality though and I ended up eating here most of 2nd semester. The marketplace takes flex cash and I would suggest getting the meal plan with most flex cash. It was my favorite place to eat! Pretty much everything is good there.

I have heard scary things about the food served in the Sutter dining commons, but the food in the BMU Marketplace is awesome and there are plenty of other places on and around campus to get great food at reasonable prices.

The cafeteria we have at Chico State has a variety of food. If I want mexican food one day I can go to the Mexican section of the cafeteria and order what I am craving. Pete's coffee on campus is the best! If someone is tired Pete's is the place to go and get your fix!

Food is maybe the weakest point of living in the dorms. Going to the dinning hall everyday can get very tiring. But you can always keep yummy snacks in your room!

Greek life is amazing! I was really hesitant on joining a sorority but it has made chico such a better experience. You meet more people than you can imagine and now I feel I have met the friends I will keep for a life time. Being greek connects you with so many people and gives you some events to go to for fun!

The greek life is active on campus if you choose to participate but it is not essential in order to make friends and feel like a part of your school. There are plenty of other activities you can join in to keep active.

There are a few sororities and fraternities through the school. They are not allowed to haze and are more safe then the ones that fund themselves. Very many different organizations just be sure you know that if you join one through the school there will be no hazing however if you join one that is privately funded then there could be as well as parties and other things the school funded ones cannot do.
