I have lived in Chico my whole life. The park is very large, and beautiful. The park is very large, and is separated into two sections. There is lower park which is separated by a creek that contains a pool. The other is upper park. It is more natural, containing the normal wildlife. (snakes, Mountain lions) There are not many attacks due to the population. Most importantly, the hiking, swimming holes, and mountain biking are the best in Chico . The trail are cool, which weaves through lava rock and the clay provides great traction. The weather is the best, and the college town experience is cool as well. I am still in high school and not apart of it, but it looks like the students are having a great experience.

I've paid for college myself since I started and with a little help from scholarships it is totally manageable.

I think you definitely get your bang for the buck here. Not only do we have a good mix of a social and academic life, we also have a great small town that is always available to help the school. We have great academics and professors that actually push you to be better than you were instead of getting you to merely pass the class. I couldn't imagine myself anywhere else.
