During my first year of college, I found that there is so much a student can learn - whether it be in-depth knowledge in a particular subject or about the college system itself - moreover, each student is responsible for taking the initiative to learn. At California State University - Fullerton, most of the teachers I've come across only give their students the information they need to pass a class. It is up to the student to take time and ask a question or go to office hours so that he can learn and more fully understand the subject.

There is a wide variety of things to do and people to meet. Everyone is very helpful with whatever you need. The campus is also in a great location for restaurants and fast food places, so that's a plus.

The college is in a commuter type of college so most people there do not live on the dorms. However, the people that I have met at this college are really nice and the academic advisers (at least for my major) are extremely helpful. The only con I say is that if you don't live on campus or you live very far from the school, like I do, you miss out on networking opportunities.

Fullerton has great academics, and if you work hard you can accomplish a lot. It's extremely diverse, with a plethora of foreign students from all over the world. It's an average college, but good enough for anyone willing to throw themselves into it.
