    attending a cal state is one of the cheapest ways to get an education in california, but people know that csuf is a good school. getting an undergraduate degree here is similar to programs at other universities, but i hear great things from the graduate students. some people who have obtained their master's degree at csuf have gone on to become city managers and successful in their careers.

    The academic rigor is only slightly higher than that of a community college. I wouldn't recommend it if you are strapped for cash. It's definitely not that much better than a community college academics wise. If you chose to attend a Cal State, do it for the campus life and college experience rather than anything else.

    I really like my professors. I can live at the library. Tuition is much lower than UC schools. It's a little above $3000 right now. Some free software and free OCTA bus pass.
