A hidden gem among California Schools. Seems mostly like a locals' school, although there are some out-of-town students. Has good programs in Business, Computer Science, and Criminal Justice, among others. I had a very good feeling about this school when I walked around the campus. Clean, well-organized school. Consider it!

This campus is absolutely beautiful. The greenery and scene of the campus is something very different than what I was used to coming from Southern California. The ability to see the seasons change with the leaves has been so different and refreshing for me these past 4 years.

There's a lot of things CSUS is great for. There are also plenty of things that it is bad for. Take the time to find out if this school is really worth your time and money before enrolling.

Sac State is a great experience for anyone, especially those from smaller and more local towns. Sociology, Child Development, Business, and Computer Science seem to be the big ones--however you'll find gems like the growing department of Asian Studies as well! The staff is relatively involved and there is always something to do in and outside of classes.

It's a commuter school but there are a ton of opportunities to meet people even if you don't live in the area. Most of the professors are nice and the campus is huge and has a lot of pretty trees. Overall what you get out of Sac State is what you put into it, so if you want have a good college experience here get involved.

Sacramento has approachable and wonderful teachers with a sense of humor and respectable professionalism. Sacramento has many fun events (My personal favorite being a showing of Guardians of the Galaxy) and it is an easy place to find new friends. Financially, it is much less demanding in comparison to other schools and a great stepping stone for people who have grown up in the nearby areas (Especially if they want to visit their family often).

CSUS has an excellent hybrid program for my area of study which is a Masters of Science in Nursing/School Nurse Credential. The program is set up so that students can go to school and work since there is some face to face in the classroom time, some live online lectures, and some work that is solely online. The professors are professional, interesting, and are experts in their field.
