Am learning a lot
You can say I've learned quite a lot since I've been here.
Am enjoying being here
It REALLY is fun here! :D All i can say is going here is way funner than it looks and the campus already looks great as it is.
Bang for the buck
I'm not sure what THAT means, but my financial aid basically covers my whole tuition!
Tips for prospective students
Future students, you guys don't have to worry about stressing so much, there is a lot of time for you to do your work when you are on campus. As long as you give yourself at least 2 hour breaks between your classes, you can get through school without doing homework at home. Just remember to go to the library whenever you want to get some homework done. The library is a great place to settle down and get your work done, especially when you are by yourself with no one to bother you. :P Also don't worry too much about not having anybody you know around because everybody on campus is very nice and you can make friends easily. I was sharing a bench with this girl I've never seen before and before she got up to leave, she told me to have a nice day, and i sat there thinking wow people here are really nice, like i didn't even say a word to her when i sat down, well besides can i sit here :P
Great for these types of students
CSUS recently built a recreation center called the WELL. It is so great! It's basically a gym, with all these machines you can work on, not only that but the WELL also include 4 basketball courts, indoor soccer field, racquetball court, rock climbing wall, and 3 DANCE STUDIOS! That's right dance studios! Whats even better is there's a balcony connected to two of these dance studios, it's so beautiful! The machine part of the WELL also have a balcony kind of thing on the 2nd floor, so when you're hot you can just walk right out :D You don't even have to pay to join the WELL as long as you're a full time student you can come and go as you please, well whenever it's open. :D But enough about the WELL let's move on to something else, the music rooms :D The music rooms included one piano in every single room for students to come and use. SO AWESOME! I'm sure there's more to brag about, but you'll have to come see it for yourself. Oh wait one more thing, the Union, that's where people usually come to relax and hang out, it is so cool in there! It's very comfy and there are different food restaurants around like Burger King, Panda Express, Jamba Juice, round table, etc etc. :D Okay now I'm done and now you see why I love college (:

Am learning a lot
The teachers here are very dedicated and passionate about what they teach and in effect, teach the students new and valuable things about how to succeed in the specific area of study.
Am enjoying being here
It's a nice place to go to school. You interact with many individuals especially if you are a part of clubs/activities. The scenery and weather is also nice and enjoyable. The American River is right there, so one can visit it, without even having to leave campus.
Bang for the buck
The tuition costs have gone up quite a bit and classes have been cut. It costs less than other universities, however I would love to see more majors in certain general majors, such as Theatre.
Tips for prospective students
Definetly pay attention to the signs around campus. Also constantly be checking the website as well as your SacCT and your log in account. Just remember : Be on top of everything. It will get you through everything smoother. :) Don't be afraid to ask for information at the information desk or from current students. Also don't give up asking questions or trying to get what you're after. Sometimes administration will keep you waiting. Don't give up and don't procastinate., and have enthusiasm. That's key in all that you do.
Great for these types of students
Make sure you're a curious student.

The professors here at Sacramento State are AWESOME! I have had several professors who I have made great connections with. They care that you do well in class, but when asked, most of them feel being comfortable is the most important thing they want for their students. A little tip: go to office hours! These professors really care about your achievement and success and will do anything to help you out.
Am enjoying being here
During the week, I love it here at Sacramento State! It's quiet, but many groups gather during the week to visit, play sports, or study so there is plenty to do. The weekends, however, can be either really great or really dead. There is some great eating around campus, and some fun things to do. However, for college students everything around can be really expensive. Weekends can be a hit or miss, but for the most part I am satisfied with Sac State.
Bang for the buck
This area's tough because all schools are becoming more and more expensive. Living on campus, I am paying roughly 20,000 this year as a freshman. It is great compared to some other schools, however, it is still alot (for me, a college teen). I feel financial aid and scholarships, however, are wonderful in helping out with my costs. I have had to pay much less than 20,000 out of my own pocket. Definately take advantage of every sort of financial aid possible!
Tips for prospective students
Prospective students - apply for the Honors Program! Sac State has a ton of great opportunities, and the Honors Program is definately one of them. You get priority registration, one of the BEST things about it. But most importantly, you get to bond with your fellow Cohort (those who have been excepted as well and will graduate the same year as you). You will have several classes with your Cohort, so you can build strong relationships and make new friends. You also have an automatic study group for all your classes! I definately recommend.
Great for these types of students
This school is mainly a commuter school, it's great for local students. However, don't let that stop you from applying! I have made several friends from all over the state, and a few from different states as well! This is a great school for those who plan to live on campus and/or join school clubs. The student population is so diverse and friendly, you can make awesome friends as well as learn a lot!

The professors at Sac State are extremely helpful. Professors here have more time to work with the individual student and make sure they know the material due to the fact that the majority of the classes have no more than 30 students in them.
Am enjoying being here
I have been attending Sac State for a semester now and I love it! The campus is quiet and peaceful, full of trees that give the campus a better atmosphere to it and make the environment relaxing to be in. Also, for those that want to express their wild side or go out for the night, downtown is only a couple of miles away from the campus and there is always a type of transportation available to take you there.
Bang for the buck
Seeing as tuition is about the same when compared to any other CSU why not choose Sac? You get to have both, rural and urban lifestyles while being in the state's capital.
Tips for prospective students
Dorms are the way to go your first year.
Great for these types of students
Anyone interested in having both urban and rural lifestyles.

Am learning a lot
My classes are not too difficult, and yet every time I exit the classroom I feel illuminated and accomplished for what I have learned. The teachers are friendly and always eager to help when you are having problems with a certain subject. They even have office hours during which they can be reached if you have any questions about the class or the material. If you feel uncomfortable talking to your teacher about the class for some reason, there are also programs on campus to which you can go if you need help.
Am enjoying being here
The campus is amazing, they even opened up a wellness center this year, so after class you can go work out, go climb the rock wall, or play sports. The people in the school are friendly and usually willing to help their peers if they are able too. There are also a lot of fun things to do, for example, a couple weeks ago, there was a comedian on campus, and right before that, there was an on campus screening of iron man II. The school is not just built for us to learn, but to relax after a long hard day of classes and take the stress away before we go home and study, or to reward ourselves after we finish studying.
Bang for the buck
As I said, they just opened up the well, so that, in itself makes this school worth it to me. But if that is not your interest, we are also entitled to two free massages per semester, the clinic is free, there is a game room, as I mentioned, there are events and activities after school on a regular basis, the classes are not too difficult, and if there is one causing you problems, you can always go to any of the on campus programs offering help.
Tips for prospective students
For any students wishing to attend, I just recommend that you fill out your Fafsa (even if you don't think you'll be getting anything), apply to scholarships, and get things done before school starts so you wont have to be rushing and struggling to get it done later. If there is something you don't know how to do, there are always people on campus willing to help and qualified to do so. When you start school, DON'T FORGET TO PRINT OUT YOUR SCHEDULE BEFORE YOUR FIRST DAY OF CLASS!!! A lot of students try to memorize them, and some can, but it is much more convenient to print it out. There are maps on campus, so if you don't know where to go,you can use them for reference, or perhaps just ask for help. My last piece of advice is, have fun with it, don't stress too much over it, the first week or two are usually quite easy, but also, don't forget that it is school, and you need to take it seriously. I know plenty of people who think they can party every day and still make it to school the next day as if the previous night never happened, but they end up missing classes and exams.
Great for these types of students
This school is great for just about anyone, athletes, academically gifted students, party goers, etc. I have seen all kinds of students here, but not once have I heard one of them complain about the school, so if you are considering it, come check out the campus, talk to teachers and students, and make an informed decision as to whether or not you wish to attend.

The campus is very neat and clean. Their new wellness center is pretty exciting. I had received help all the way to the end of my trip there.
Tips for prospective students
Easy process to apply. Apply even if you don't think you will get in , its better to have a NO rather then knowing that you never tried.
Dorm Life
I haven't experienced dorm life yet, but will be experiencing in 2013

I am a nursing major and I feel this is one of the best public BSN schools in the state. I have heard reviews from other state schools, and Sac State nursing is a far more intensive program. The teachers are very knowledgeable, inspiring, and available to students. We have Simulation labs that are state-of-the-art in a mock hospital setting. All students experience practice and perfection before being thrust into a patient room. Sac State Nursing also has the most clinical hours including a 4th semester preceptor-ship in the area of your choosing (Labor and Delivery, NICU, Emergency, ICU, etc.).
Am enjoying being here
For me it is a long drive, but it is worth it. I don't know how much an older, married student fits in with the overall school demographic. I find it hard to relate to others at this school due to the age/lifestyle differences.
Bang for the buck
I rate this as fair. CSUS is cheaper than private and university, but the cost of going to school keeps increasing and the financial aid isn't.
Tips for prospective students
For nursing, this program has a very competitive application process. It's best to take your prerequisites at a community college and be sure to get a 4.0!
Great for these types of students
I know I will have a great career when I graduate. I feel well prepared to start practicing as an RN. Many of the graduates of this program are getting interviews and jobs faster than any other school in the area. We are well-prepared to extend our education after obtaining the Bachelors degree.

The professors are wonderful and it's obvious that most of them enjoy their job and actually have a passion for what they do, rather than doing it for the money. I find myself learning more than I imagined from the beginning, I definitely receive the help I need.

Sacramento State has to be one of the most beautiful campuses I've seen so far and as far as the people, they're friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere at Sac State is amazing and it'll make you never want to leave.
Tips for prospective students
If you're looking to gain knowledge, broaden your perspective, and have a good time doing it, Sacramento State is the school for you! It's a campus where you can't help but smile because it's so beautiful and everyone around just seems so happy. Education is what we come for but in actuality, we gain so much more and it's an experience I know every college student deserves.
Great for these types of students
Outgoing, happy, fun, quiet, shy, social, exciting, daring...any type of student!
