I rate CFCC a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. It is a great school with excellent teachers, smaller classes than a university, and it is a lot more afordable. I really like the two new parking decks they have recently added for students to make parking a lot easier as well.
Tips for prospective students
I would say the most important thing is to make sure you go to all of your classes because it is easy to get behind. Take good notes and make sure you are putting in some time each day outside of class as well to study so you don't have to cram it all in the night before.
Academic Rigor
The curriculum is tough but with there excellent teaching staff and if you have a good work ethic, you will do just fine.
Dorm Life
They do not have dorms, as they are a community college.
Food and Dining
The school's food is good and affordable but if you want to go get something to eat a little nicer than you can because you are already downtown.
What to do for fun
The thing I love about CFCC is the fact is that is is downtown. If you have a break between classes, there is always something to do.
Bang for the buck
Great value.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
The location of the college itself is awesome because it overlooks the Cape Fear river. In some classes you can get a really nice view of the river and the bridge.
Great for these types of students
Students looking to get an accredited and quality education for less.
Clubs and Activities
Awesome sports, clubs, and activities.
Campus Safety
They have excellent campus security.
