    Don't be afraid to give it shot. If someone tells you it's too difficult, give it a go, and only you can decide for yourself whether you can do it or not. Challenges are created by you, not others.

    You are not your major, nor are you your grades. If you forget this, you can quickly force yourself into a slump, don't do that to yourself. Meet people, try to breathe outside of your coursework, and for the love of God, DO NOT TAKE MORE THAN 5 COURSES. Many times you will regret forcing yourself into that position, it is often NOT fun.

    Don't just apply to one college. Take note of CMU's inter-college transfer. Applying to more than one can be beneficial. Don't get fixated on just one thing here, there are so many other opportunities to explore who you are, and to find what you love to do.
