Get involved! There is so much to do at CSU and all you have to do is be willing to find what interests you! I am involved with campus ministries and I love getting to meet new people and make friends!

Pre-register for your dorm, so that all you have to do is pick up your room key on move-in day. If you can, register early for your classes so that you can get your textbooks ahead of time. Most textbooks are available at the campus bookstore, but you can usually find them cheaper at various online stores. Make sure that you match the ISBNs, so that you get the right books.

If you are looking for a large campus with a lot of students on campus all of the time this isn't the college for you. 3/4 of the student body are commuters, meaning they don't live in the dorms on campus and most stay closer to the more urban part of Charleston. Upon visiting you find that the campus is almost ghost-like or in other words, empty. There are very few people outside or walking around unless it is around the meal times.

Students need to come in with an open mind. This school has a lot to offer and if you come in with a closed mind you'll miss out on some great things! This school should be at the top of your list!

Make sure you take either SAT or ACT as many times as you can. High scores means better scholarships from this college. Even if you did not score high in these tests, Charleston Southern will still give you scholarship money in some form.
