*Get all of your housing info in quickly! They will let you turn info in later, but to help yourself and those working on your files, turn all your info in before the week before moving in. *Get on pinterest, tumblr, or just google ideas for studying, text book help, door needs, and surviving on campus. Just look for ideas. *Please for the love of all that is good - DON'T wait to look for scholarships & other help. It is a pain to be searching and scraping for money several weeks before school starts.

Pre-register for your dorm, so that all you have to do is pick up your room key on move-in day. If you can, register early for your classes so that you can get your textbooks ahead of time. Most textbooks are available at the campus bookstore, but you can usually find them cheaper at various online stores. Make sure that you match the ISBNs, so that you get the right books.

If you are looking for a large campus with a lot of students on campus all of the time this isn't the college for you. 3/4 of the student body are commuters, meaning they don't live in the dorms on campus and most stay closer to the more urban part of Charleston. Upon visiting you find that the campus is almost ghost-like or in other words, empty. There are very few people outside or walking around unless it is around the meal times.
