Okay, let me start out by saying whoever is writing Clarion University is a great school is the biggest liar and we all know its a ****hole. I am absolutely miserable here. It is almost the end of my junior year and I want to bang my head against a wall knowing I have another year. The town is complete garbage, filled with heroin/meth/coke addicts with a huge taste of fat people only consuming Wendy's and McDonald's. The Clarion township survive off the university because if they didn't have it the little town would be nothing. If you didn't grow up in PA you are a complete outcast with nothing but fake friends. The school has **cked over millions of students having to do another year because they didn't meet the requirements. The University is in depth so it wants all of your money so they will do whatever it takes. If you want to sign out of living in a dorm you now have to go to court in order to do so... you are very lucky if you get out of it. There is no social life here, you have three bars that get boring and house parties that barely happen and if there is a house party it will end quickly by the cops. The school is so small that everyone knows everyone's business, so if you have a secret that's out the f-ing window. You all are probably wondering why I've stayed here for so long if I hate it that much. For starters, I have a learning disability so school never came easy for me which led me to have bad grades, therefore Clarion was my only option. People didn't think I could handle college but I wanted to prove them wrong so no matter what school I went too I was determined to graduate. Yes I'm actually doing alright here, I have a 2.9 with the hope to graduate with a 3.0 and even have an internship here. I made my goal I'd graduate within 4 years and THAT'S IT! So if I were to try and transfer some of my grades wouldn't transfer over making me behind and I don't want that. I hate school but I won't give up. Being here made me realize how truly strong I am, this school f-ing sucks but I won't let it defeat me. Why would I let a ****hole ruin me.

Clarion is a very small community and there is little to do. The university sponsors things to do on campus, or brings in guest speakers, comedians or other projects.

Clarion has a student-run University Activities Board (UAB) that plans events once a week. All of these events are 100% free to students and often end with participants leaving with free goods. There is also a free movie screening at 11:00 PM of saturdays at the Hart Chapel. Other than that, there is not a ton to do.

There isn't too many options. There is a bowling alley near town, there are some pretty nice bike trails, but since it is near a plant, the smell can be quite foul. There are some nice cafes and bars in town, but if you're under 21, you're not in the best of luck. If you are over 21, there is a club. I went there to get wings once, but other than that it isn't that great.

Personally, I am on the Varsity softball team and the Sports Medicine club so that takes up most of my time. When I am not doing that, I am at the gym either working out or playing basketball, doing zumba (or any activities they have going on that day). They have a small mall with a movie theatre down the road from school and my friends and I find ourselves watching a lot of movies there, for cheap prices!

There are so many things you can do in clarion such as going into hiking in the forest, going to the old bridge in clarion and admire the structure, going to the rec center and work out or go shopping at the mall and if all else fails there is always hanging out with your friends.

Clarion University is located by the Clarion River. Students can go fishing, canoeing and swimming at the river. The University also offers events on every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. These events can be: concerts, movies, games, crafts or comedians.
