With the building of the new dorms on campus, there is a new dining place called The Den by Denny's. It is a small menu but decent. It is below South Suites on Main St. next to the university bookstore. We also have Starbucks, also below South Suites and that's located on the corner of Main St. The main area to go to eat is called Eagle Commons, it is a buffet style of eating and it open for breakfast, lunch and dinner (7am-8pm Sunday thru Thursday). There is also a small made to order dining area in Gemmell, that offers a variety of food from subs to pizza and soups and salad. Meal plans are limited at Clarion. There is Flex and then there is Board. The highest Flex will go is $250, if you don't use all your Flex in one semester it was carry over to the following semester. However Flex will not carry over the summer time. You can use Flex anywhere on campus, including Starbucks and The Den. You can only use your meal plan or board at Eagle Commons and Gemmell.

Eagle Commons can be hit or miss but there are always alternatives around the area. The RRR (pronounced 'Tripple R') Road House and the Sakura Buffet provide a nice dining experience if you have a car or are willing to ride the bus.

The apartments on campus have kitchens, so you fend for yourself. There is a cafe on campus, but it is mostly deep fried. If it isn't, it's usually cold or has an odd taste. The ladies that work there are nice, but the food in the overall is not very pleasant.

There are only two different places to dine on campus and only one of them is on your meal plan, the other you have to use a meal plan plus money. The food choices are really not that good either, and they are repeated every two weeks.

The food is really tasty, the cafeteria may not have high class chefs but the chefs there can make a great pizza.

Sororities or big, fraternities not so much. There is about 10 girls for every 3 boys. More of a girl school, but the guys don't seem to mind haha.

A large portion of students on campus belong to a Greek fraternity/sorority. At Clarion University, there is a no hazing policy. The Greek fraternity/sororities work with the community and organizations to help the town of Clarion continue to grow.
