Clark Atlanta University is a great HBCU to attend for a plentiful of reasons. I would describe the atmosphere on campus as being scholarly, united and fun. The tuition may be steep but CAU is a private college and students receive the knowledge that they pay for.

I love the school and the environment there. Some of the teachers seem like they don't know how to teach, but in all they have a great personality.

Is Clark Atlanta a party school like everyone says? I really want to go there after I finish high school, using scholarship money of course, but I want my parents to be on the same page as I am about it.

CAU is the place to be. I would rate my institution a 9. Every school has flaws, but CAU has The Spirit of Greatness that will help you matriculate.

Prioritized parties/socializing over academics. However, depending on your major, you may benefit from smaller class sizes which allows teachers and students to have meaningful relationships. If you are not someone who is on top of things this is not the school for you because you will find yourself wondering what happened and why nobody told you.

Stay on top of your financial aid they will not do it for you here. If you receive a scholarship from the school keep your grades up because they will take it if you do not meet the requirements. Find a way or make one!
