Clark College is dedicated to the highest standards of education and honesty wants everyone to not only succeed but be the best they can be.

Everyone on campus is here to help you from Professors, Counselors and fellow students.

There are many programs that are provided to assist you in any class you are taking, whether you need tutoring or studying for an upcoming test.

“In 1933, in the midst of the Great Depression, a group of educators boldly embraced a dream of higher education for Southwest Washington. More than 75 years later, that dream still resonates for Clark College and the community it serves.” www.clark.edu

Clark College is a community college providing two-year transfer degree studies for as many as 16,000 full-time and part-time students each quarter. Clark's main campus is located on 101 beautiful acres and is the second largest college in the Washington State which has 34 community and technical colleges.
Bang for the buck
Clark College has man programs and services that make it affordable to attend here. They work with you and you may even qualify for a work-study program.

Clark College has many great resources that helps make your education here affordable.
Tips for prospective students
Take the Orientation and look around the campus, it makes the first day of school a lot less stressful.

Although there are over 16,000 students here, he campus is large and the classrooms are kept to under 30 students usually, so it does not feel crowded.

Do not hesitate to use your resources, talk to your advisers, fellow students and the tutoring programs.
Great for these types of students
All students can benefit and learn here.

I am glad and proud I attend this school and I know I am getting an affordable and quality education that is the stepping stone for my new career.

Clark is defiantly a great school to attend. There are great teachers in every department who really love teaching and make class interesting.
Am enjoying being here
I have been attending full time for three quarters and have not been disappointed with a class yet. There are plenty of clubs and other activities going on around campuses that everyone can be a part of.
Bang for the buck
Being a community college you defiantly save on tuition by attending here. The only negative thing would have to be the non student run book store making books cost an arm and a leg.
Tips for prospective students
The parking situation at Clark is terrible show up early for class or anything really.
Great for these types of students
Really this school is great for anyone.

Academic Rigor
academics at clark college are great! the teachers do really well at giving students the time and help they need. students seem to do really well at clark college. obviously there will be teaching styles that do not match some learning styles, but for the most part teachers and students really work well together at clark college. even if a class is hard, a student tends to do really well when they ask for help and if they do their best!
Dorm Life
there are no dorms at clark college since it is a community college.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
there is a brand new japanese garden by the o'connell sports center and music building. also, behind frost arts center is an adorable penguin topiary not many people know about. we also have a totem pole and meditation pole to symbolize diversity on campus, located by foster/hawkins/hannah halls. also, there are a lot of opportunities for the community to be involved at clark college such as theater productions, choirs, bands, etc. senior citizens also have a great experience with mature learning, as do high school students through running start.there are so many events all the time that happen so keep an eye out!

Clubs and Activities
clark college has so many clubs to choose from! plus, if there is not a club that you think other students would enjoy, you can start your own club! there is almost always some sort of activity going on around campus every day, it seems! clark college is a very lively campus with very involved students and community!

Campus Safety
our security desk is so helpful, located in geiser hall by the bookstore. they help you if your battery dies, you get locked out of your car, you just want someone to walk you to your car because it is late, etc. i have heard of very few cases of car break ins or some one's stuff being stolen. i feel really safe on campus, and so does everyone else i talk to!

Even though I have only completed my first quarter at Clark, the teachers have been exceptional. They are always willing to assist you and take time out of their busy day to help you with whatever they can help you on.

There is quite a diversity at this college. You have a wide range of ages and backgrounds in the students and the teachers; and I like this. They are helpful and friendly, and it makes it easier to get through school.
Tips for prospective students
There is a lot of independence and you are expected to act like an adult. Although Clark and its staff reminds you of things, you are responsible for taking action.
Great for these types of students
For those who are unsure about what they want to major in and completing their prerequisite courses. You save a lot of money attending this college and there is a lot of support in figuring out what classes to take and what is the best major for you.
